Ideal for lovers of <\/span>trekking<\/b><\/span> and mountain biking, the Way of the Gods is today the main excursionist attraction in the Apennines of <\/span>Tuscany<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Emilia<\/b><\/span>–<\/span>Romagna<\/b><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>

It offers the possibility of discovering territories rich in history and far from the most beaten tourist routes and represents an opportunity to spend an itinerant holiday in the open air, suitable for adults, young people and families with children. An itinerary that can be organized according to the days available and the ability of the hikers.<\/span><\/p>

This itinerary has been rebuilt since the 1990s and marked by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club). <\/span><\/p>

It crosses numerous points of interest in terms of nature and landscape at a height of around 1,000 meters above sea level and at some points the path still runs along the ancient paving of the Via Flaminia military road, still existent after 2,000 years.<\/span><\/p>

The Way of the Gods is named after some of the mountains crossed, such as Monte Adone (Mount of Adonis), Monzuno (Mons Iovis, Mount of Jupiter), Monte Venere (Mount Venus) and Monte Lunario (Lua was the Roman goddess of expiation).<\/span><\/p>

The Way of the Gods joins the cities of <\/span>Bologna<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Florence<\/b><\/span> across the Apennines, covering a distance of about 125 km. The view of Florence from the top, just a stone’s throw from your destination, would alone be worth the whole trip.<\/span><\/p>

On your way you will find not “only” nature but also the history, art and food and wine culture of two different regions such as Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.<\/span><\/p>

Obviously you can also choose to start from Florence in the direction of Bologna.<\/span><\/p>
